uShaka Marine World is a world-class entertainment theme park and tourism destination located on Durban’s Golden Mile in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Sea World access includes entry to the aquarium, dolphin shows, seal shows, penguin presentations, shark dives viewing, and ray feeds.

Wet ‘n Wild Water Park

  • Operating Days: Wednesday to Sunday only

Aquarium Only Access

Sea Animal Encounter Island Entrance is free when accessing from the Village Walk beach arena, though individual activities require payment.

Sea Animal Encounters and Activities

For those seeking more interactive experiences, uShaka Marine World offers several paid activities:

Snorkeling: R118 for 30 minutes (discounted to R80 on Mondays and Tuesdays during off-peak season)

Ray Feed: R177 per person (waist-deep water experience, limited space, bookings essential before 12:00 PM)

Fish Feed: Bookings and payments must be confirmed before 10:30 AM on a first-come, first-served basis

Shark Diving: Available through the Sea Animal Encounters program (minimum age 12 years)

Ocean Walker: Experience available for children as young as 12 years (currently not available – check with park for updates)

Note: Back of House Tour and Ocean Walker are not available until further notice.

Important Information

Park Policies

  • Food hampers, braais, and cooler boxes are not allowed within uShaka Marine World premises
  • Fruit and a 500ml water bottle are permitted
  • Outside food is generally not allowed, but the park has numerous restaurants and food stands
  • Visitors are welcome to leave and re-enter the park, provided wristbands remain intact
  • Swimming ability is not required for Shark Dive and Ocean Walker experiences
  • Personal cameras are permitted

Parking

  • Parking A: Hourly rate with the first 30 minutes free
  • Parking B: Daily rate, must be paid before entering

Accessibility
