Kruger National Park Day Visitor Entrance Fee

Kruger National Park — Day Visitor Entrance Fee

Short summary: From 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026 SANParks publishes the Kruger National Park daily conservation (day-visitor) fees and rules. Fees are tiered by visitor nationality/residency (South African citizens/residents, SADC nationals, and other international visitors). Day visits may be pre-booked online and Wild Card, ID and booking rules apply. (SANParks)

Official daily conservation (entrance) fees (day visitors)

Effective 1 Nov 2025 – 31 Oct 2026 (daily conservation fee per person):

  • South African citizens & residents: Adult (12+) R134 — Child (2–11) R67. (SANParks)
  • SADC nationals: Adult R275 — Child R137. (SANParks)
  • International (other foreign visitors): Adult R602 — Child R300. (SANParks)

(Infants under 2 years enter free; adult = 12 years and older; child = 2–11 years). (SANParks)

ID, documentation and who pays which rate

  • South African citizens/residents must present a valid South African ID or driver’s licence to qualify for resident rates. All foreign visitors must present passports; failure to produce required ID may result in payment of the standard international fee. These rules apply to all occupants in a vehicle. (SANParks)

Booking, advance bookings and admin fee (day visitors)

  • Kruger allows advance day-visit bookings (recommended for busy periods). Pre-booked day visits must be paid in advance and Wild Card holders who pre-book still pay the (non-refundable) advance booking administration fee. (SANParks)
  • During the 2025/26 festive season SANParks specified a non-refundable administration (booking) fee of R59 per adult and R29 per child for online pre-booked day visits; this fee is separate from the conservation (entrance) fee. Pre-booked visitors are prioritised and must arrive within their allocated timeslots. (SANParks)

Wild Card option

  • Visitors can buy a Wild Card (multiple types available: individual, couple, family) which grants access for 365 days from date of purchase. Wild Card holders are still subject to any advance booking/admin fees when pre-booking day visits. (SANParks)

Practical notes & payment

  • SANParks operates cash-free payment systems at many southern gates (e.g., Paul Kruger, Phabeni, Numbi, Malelane and Crocodile Bridge) and fuel stations — have a card or be prepared to pay online. (SANParks)
  • There is a daily visitor quota; when the quota is reached only pre-booked or overnight guests are permitted entry. Book ahead for public holidays, long weekends and festive season. (SANParks)
