Kirstenbosch Gardens Cape Town Entrance Fee

The entrance fee for Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in Cape Town is structured according to nationality and visitor category[6]:

  • Non-South African Residents (18 years and older): R200
  • South African Residents (18 years and older, with ID): R80
  • South African Students (with valid student card): R45
  • Scholars/Learners (age 6–17): R25
  • Children under 6 years: Free
  • BotSoc members (with valid membership card): Free
  • South African residents over 60 (with ID): Free on Tuesdays, except public holidays

To receive the South African rate, visitors must present a valid ID, driver’s license, or an electronic/certified copy. Student discounts require a valid student card from a South African tertiary institution[6].

These entrance fees have been in effect since April 2021 and are subject to change, so it’s recommended to check the official SANBI or Kirstenbosch website for the most up-to-date information before visiting[1].
