The Hartbeespoort Aquarium was established in 1962, it is the only fresh water fish Aquarium in South Africa, and boasts a variety of both indigenous and tropical fresh water fish and is a well known landmark. We have an education through conservation policy so we strive to educate the public, as well as to provide a safe haven for orphaned and injured aquatic animals.
