Crater Lake Entrance Fee

The entrance fee for Crater Lake National Park varies by vehicle type and season. For a standard private vehicle (up to 15 passengers), the summer entrance fee is $30 and the winter entrance fee is $20, both valid for 7 days[3]. For motorcycles, the summer fee is $25 and winter fee is $15, also valid for 7 days[3]. Individuals entering on foot or by bicycle pay $15 each in summer and $10 in winter[3]. Children 15 years old and younger receive free entry year-round[3].

Crater Lake also offers a park-specific annual pass for $55, which is valid at Crater Lake as well as Lava Beds National Monument, Lassen Volcanic National Park, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area[3]. Additionally, the America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass grants access to all federal recreation sites for $80[5]. Discounted pass options are available for seniors, military, individuals with permanent disabilities, and families with a fourth grader[5].

Commercial group entrance fees are scaled by vehicle capacity, ranging from $25 (1–6 passengers) plus $5 per individual, to $200 (vehicles with 26 or more passengers)[2].

Entry fees are used for local park projects such as trail improvements, restroom upgrades, and facility maintenance. All visitors must show a physical or downloaded digital pass at the entrance gate[6]. Reservations are not required to enter the park, but a valid entry pass is mandatory year-round[8].
