The Tsitsikamma conservation fee is R110 per day for South African adults, R55 for South African children under 12, and R492 for international visitors. Children under 2 enter free. Tsitsikamma is a section of the Garden Route National Park and is charged at that park’s daily rate.

The Gap Between Local and International Is Large
At R492 against R110, an international visitor pays four and a half times the South African rate. That gap is standard across SANParks and is the reason proof of residency matters so much at the gate.
It Is Charged Per Day, Not Per Visit
The conservation fee is a daily charge. A three-day stay means paying it three times unless you hold a Wild Card, SANParks’ annual pass, which covers conservation fees across the park network.
What the Fee Does Not Cover
Day access covers the park, its trails and the Storms River Mouth area including the suspension bridges. Accommodation, the Otter Trail and adventure activities operated by concessionaires are booked and paid separately.
You Must Prove You Are South African
The citizen rate requires a South African ID, driving licence or passport at the gate, accepted as an original, electronic or certified copy. Without it you are charged the international rate.
SANParks Gates Are Cashless
All South African National Parks gates take card only. You can also pay in advance through the SANParks reservations portal. Arriving with cash alone will not get you in.
