The uShaka Shipwreck Aquarium ticket costs R138 per person, charged at the same rate for adults, children and seniors. Children under 3 enter free. It is the aquarium-only option, cheaper than full Sea World entry because it excludes the presentations.
Shipwreck Aquarium Price
| Ticket | Adults | Kids / Seniors | Under 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shipwreck Aquarium only | R138 | R138 | Free |
| Sea World (aquarium + presentations) | R267 | R216 | Free |
| Sea World + Wet n Wild combo | R399 | R324 | Free |
One Flat Rate, No Child Discount
The aquarium-only ticket is unusual in charging the same R138 for an adult as for a child or senior. Sea World and Wet n Wild both price children and seniors lower at R216 against R267, so for a family the saving from choosing aquarium-only is smaller than it first appears.
| Group | Aquarium only | Full Sea World | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| One adult | R138 | R267 | R129 cheaper |
| Two adults + two children | R552 | R966 | R414 cheaper |
What You Give Up
The aquarium-only ticket covers the Shipwreck-themed viewing galleries. It does not include the dolphin, seal and penguin presentations, which are the main draw of full Sea World entry. If the presentations are why you are going, this is not the ticket.
Opening Hours
The aquarium is open daily, 09:00 to 17:00 off-peak, with peak hours from 15:30 onwards. Sea World keeps the same daily 09:00–17:00 hours.
Encounters Are Separate
Shark dives, ray feeds, snorkelling and dolphin experiences are charged on top of any admission ticket and carry minimum ages from 5 to 12. See uShaka encounter prices.
