Tokyo National Museum Entrance Fee

The entrance fee for the Tokyo National Museum’s regular “TNM Collection Exhibitions” is 1,000 yen for adults, and 500 yen for university students. High school students, visitors under 18 years old, and seniors 70 years and over can enter free of charge (ID or student ID required). Persons with disabilities and one accompanying person are also admitted free (certificate of disabilities required)[3].

Admission to special exhibitions requires a separate ticket, and the prices vary—please check the official museum website for current special exhibition fees. Note that tickets for special exhibitions also grant access to the TNM Collection Exhibitions on the same day[1].[3].

For those who wish to visit only the Kuroda Memorial Hall and/or the Research and Information Center, entrance is free[3].

There are also several free admission days for all visitors: May 18, September 15, and November 3, 2025[3].
