Entry to Emerald Resort itself is not charged as a gate fee — what you pay for is the Aquadome, its water park, at R80 off-peak and R150 peak for adults. Children under 12, chalet residents and pensioners pay R70 or R90 depending on the day.

Emerald Resort and Casino is on the Vaal River at Vanderbijlpark.

The Resort and the Water Park Are Different Things

This is the distinction that matters when budgeting. The resort grounds, casino and restaurants do not charge admission; the Aquadome does. A family arriving expecting one gate fee will find the water park ticketed separately.

What Is Included in an Aquadome Ticket

Aquadome entry includes a free round of adventure golf and wall climbing — unusual among South African water parks, where side activities are normally extra.

Cashless

The Aquadome takes card only. As a casino complex, Emerald is broadly cashless.

Over-18s on the Gaming Floor

Free access to the resort does not extend to the casino floor, which is restricted to over-18s with ID checks.

Official Price Source and Last-Checked Date

Last checked: 6 September 2026. Tsogo Sun publishes Aquadome pricing but no separate resort gate fee, consistent with entry to the complex being free. Prices can change without notice — confirm before you travel.
