At R60 a South African adult pays little more than half the Garden Route rate. For a family the difference is substantial over a multi-day stay.
Charged Per Day
Like every SANParks conservation fee this is a daily charge, so a weekend visit is paid twice. A Wild Card covers conservation fees across the network and pays for itself quickly at parks visited repeatedly.
You Must Prove You Are South African
The citizen rate requires a South African ID, driving licence or passport at the gate, accepted as an original, electronic or certified copy. Without it you are charged the international rate.
SANParks Gates Are Cashless
All South African National Parks gates take card only. You can also pay in advance through the SANParks reservations portal. Arriving with cash alone will not get you in.
