Meiringspoort Entrance Fee

There is no general entrance fee to access Meiringspoort or the pass for sightseeing and non-event visits^[7]. If you plan to participate in one of the organized events, such as the Meiringspoort Half-Marathon, Trail Run, or MTB Challenge, there are specific entry fees.

For popular events in 2025, the entry fees are as follows:

• Meiringspoort Half-Marathon (21.1km): R375^[1][3]
• Meiringspoort 12.5km Race: R325^[1][3]
• Meiringspoort MTB Challenge: 26km – R280, 41.5km – R350, 61.5km (also for E-Bikes & Tandems) – R400^[4]
• Meiringspoort Trail Run (9.5km): Pre-entry – R250, Late entry (Friday) – R300, Late entry (Saturday) – R350^[6]

These fees apply only to participants in the organized sporting events and not for general access to Meiringspoort or the Meiringspoort Waterfall area as a tourist attraction^[7]. Both the pass and waterfall site are commonly reported by visitors as free to access.
