Harold Porter Nature Reserve Entrance Fee

The entrance fees for the Harold Porter Nature Reserve (Harold Porter National Botanical Garden) are as follows:

  • Adults (18 – 59 years): R55 (off-peak, April–August) / R60 (peak, September–March)[2]
  • Seniors (60 years+): R40 (no charge on the 1st Tuesday of the month)[2]
  • Students (with valid student card): R35[2]
  • Learners (Gr.1 – Gr.12): R15[1]
  • Children under 6 years: Free[1]
  • SA Botanical Society members (with valid card): Free (except for special events)[1]

School groups must book with the educational officer. The rate is R12 per learner and R35 per accompanying adult[1].

These tariffs are subject to change and special events may have different pricing. Booking is essential at least two weeks in advance for group visits[1][2].

During National Gardens Week (10–16 March 2025), entrance is free for all visitors[7].
