Gold Reef City is an amusement park in Johannesburg, South Africa. Located on an old gold mine which closed in 1971, the park is themed around the gold rush that started in 1886 on the Witwatersrand, the buildings on the park are designed to mimic the same period.

Gold Reef City Entrance Fee 2022: R195/adult (above 1.3m height); R125/child. There are discounted tickets for students and pensioners. The Gold reef city open days are from Wednesday to Sunday all year round except during Gauteng school holiday when the park is open on all days of the week.
Can you take food into Gold Reef City theme park?
Guests must be at all times dressed including shoes and shirts, in keeping with the family theme promoted at Gold Reef City. Guests may not bring their own food or beverages of any kind or form into Gold Reef City.
