Fun Valley Pleasure Resort entrance fees are reported at between R80 and R100 for adults and R30 to R50 for children, with sources disagreeing on both the amounts and the child age band. Event days are ticketed separately and cost considerably more.

Fun Valley is a day-visitor resort south of Johannesburg.

What Is Reported

Category Report A Report B
Adult R80 R100
Child R30 (ages 2–11) R50 (ages 4–12)
Opening hours 09:00–17:00 09:00–17:00

The two reports differ on price and on where the child band starts and ends, so we are not presenting either as the current rate.

Event Days Are a Different Product

Fun Valley runs ticketed events — a Mother’s Day event was sold in phases at R100 early bird, then R150, R200 and R250 as each tier sold out. On those days the standard gate fee does not apply and pricing escalates as the date approaches.

If you are planning around a public holiday or a long weekend, check whether an event is scheduled before assuming the standard rate.

How Gauteng Day-Resort Pricing Usually Works

Day-visitor resorts around Johannesburg and Pretoria follow a common pattern: a per-person gate fee, often with a lower child band and sometimes a pensioner rate; higher pricing at weekends, over school holidays and on public holidays; and a daily cap on visitor numbers that closes the gate once reached. Braai stands, lapas and boats are usually extra. Many take cash only.

Price Source and Last-Checked Date

These figures come from secondary sources, not an operator-published rate card. The resort does not publish a standing rate card we could read. Reported figures vary by source and some date from earlier years.

Last checked: 6 September 2026. Treat them as indicative and confirm at the gate before you travel.
