The Zeitz MOCAA entrance fee is R350, reduced to R199 for South African and African citizens buying on-site with ID, and free for under-18s. African citizens also enter free on Wednesday mornings. These rates apply from 1 September 2026.

Zeitz MOCAA Admission Prices

Category Price Conditions
Adults R350 Booked through Webtickets
South African & African citizens R199 Bought on-site with valid ID or passport
Under 18s Free

The local rate is a 43% discount on the standard price, but it is only available when buying on-site — booking online in advance charges the full R350. This is the reverse of the usual advice to book ahead.

Africa Wednesday: Free Entry

All African citizens enter free every Wednesday between 10:00 and 13:00 on production of a valid ID or passport. Arriving after 13:00 on a Wednesday means paying the normal rate, so the window matters.

Free Guided Tours

Free one-hour guided tours run Monday to Friday at 12:30. They are booked on arrival and capacity is limited, so arrive early if you want a place.

Opening Hours

Open daily, 10:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:30.

Separate student and pensioner rates are not published on the museum’s visitor page. If you hold a student card or qualify as a pensioner, ask at the desk rather than assuming a concession exists.
