The Valley of Waves entrance fee is R415 for adults on weekdays and R470 on weekends and public holidays, with children aged 3 to 12 at R305 and R370. Children under 2 enter free. Access is sold as a Sun City day-visitor ticket that includes the Valley of Waves.

You Cannot Buy at the Gate
Day-visitor tickets must be bought in advance through TicketPro and are not sold at the resort. Numbers are capped daily and tickets sell out on peak days, so arriving without a booking usually means being turned away. This is the most common reason visitors do not get in.
What the Ticket Covers
A day-visitor ticket admits you to Sun City Resort and the Valley of Waves water park. It does not include accommodation, and hotel guests enter free without needing a day ticket.
Weekday Versus Weekend
Visiting midweek saves R55 per adult and R65 per child. For a family of two adults and two children that is a R240 difference for the same park.
MVG Members
Sun International notes that MVG members receive discounts by tier — Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver — but that MVG members no longer get free access to the Valley of Waves. If you are relying on an older understanding of that benefit, check your tier before travelling.
